Joe and Amy (Hendricks) Utter were excited to welcome their first child into the world on Feb. 9. Rylan James Utter weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19.5 inches long at birth in Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. Rylan's grandparents are Doug and Marvina Randle of Glenwood; William and Patti Hendricks from Mesa, Ariz.; and Bruce and Darla Utter from Vancouver. Rylan is the older cousin to Anthony Keith Avila who was born four and a half hours later.

Anthony Keith Avila is the second child of Lori Wellenbrock and Jose R. Avila. Baby Anthony shares his cousin, Rylan Utter's, Feb. 9 birthday and weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches at birth. Anthony joins older sister, Jayla, 22 months, at home. Congratulations to both families on the arrivals of the little cousins.

Our condolences are extended to Mary Jo Bauerle's family after the recent death of her mother, Catherine Graves.
