Willy Wonka comes to the stage

Show runs March 20 and 21

Dallesport Elementary School will present Willy Wonka Junior, its spring musical, on March 20 and 21, at 7 p.m. in the multi-purpose room.

Roald Dahl's timeless story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to life in this stage adaptation of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," which features songs from the classic family film, "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory."

Elementary students from grades third through sixth have been rehearsing for 12 weeks. Stars include Jacob Zeigler as Willie Wonka, Emily Darland as Charlie, Bobby Feeny as Grandpa Joe, Matthew Petty, Courtney Anderson, LeslieAnn Rodriguez, Tiffany Brock, Paul Clark, Dana Chase, Morgan Casey, Rose Foss, Olivia Grim, Daniel Bliss, Lacy Carse, Nicolle Oldfield, Joshua Showalter, Kaelin Eskeli, Bailee Newman, Ellie Smith, Abby Eskeli, Andrea Martinez, Delores Spino, Shaylynn Chase, Cheyenne Brock, Max Zeigler, Sararose Campanella, Ayla Logue-Wells, Brayden Anderson, Louise Smith, Leanne Houston, Vanessa Ordaz and Kileena Matthews. Donations for admission are accepted at the door.

Dahl's Willie Wonka Junior is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI at 421 West 54th Street, New York, NY 10019.
