Prosecutor Reports On Ccases

From Klickitat Superior Court

The following defendants appeared in the Superior Court of Klickitat County on Klickitat County on July 6, 2010:

Brett Wayne Clark, 20, of Goldendale, plead guilty to two counts of reckless endangerment and one count of making a false statement to a public servant and was sentenced to 240 hours of community service. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $1,200 including $250 to the Goldendale Police Department Investigation Fund. The defendant will be on probation for two years.

Heather Ashley Cox, 25, of Goldendale, plead guilty to criminal trespass in the first degree and three counts of violation of a domestic violence no contact order. The defendant was sentenced to five days in jail and must pay all standard court costs totaling $1,158 in addition to restitution to the victim in an amount to be determined at a later hearing. The defendant will be under the supervision of the Department of Corrections for two years during which time she must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment. The defendant may not have contact with the victim during that time.

The following defendants appeared in superior court on July 19, 2010:

Angela Ninette Roth, 44, of Salt Lake City, Utah, plead guilty to theft in the first degree by welfare fraud and bail jumping and was sentenced to three months in the county jail. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $2,485 including $500 in jail costs. The defendant must pay restitution to the State of Washington in an amount to be determined at a later hearing.

Frank Melvin Pollard, 63, of Waitsburg, plead guilty to possession of marijuana in an amount exceeding 40 grams. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $2,770 including $250 to the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office Drug Fund and a mandatory $1,000 fine. The defendant will be under the supervision of the Department of Corrections for 12 months during which time he must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment.

James Richard Swearingen, 37, of The Dalles, plead guilty to attempted possession of methamphetamine and was sentenced to 60 days in the county jail. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $1,500 including $500 in jail costs. The defendant will be on probation for 24 months after his release from custody.
