Thanks to the employees of the sheriff's office, Klickitat County Search and Rescue volunteers and sheriff reserve deputies, Santa is touring Klickitat County during the week of Dec. 13. On Dec. 16, between 6:45 and 8 p.m., Santa will be at the Trout Lake School. Kids can come to visit with him and receive a special treat. Santa will be escorted to Trout Lake by Klickitat County Sheriff deputies in "reindeer vehicles" (the pictures are pretty neat) guided by Rudolph.

It should be a fun, interesting event that brings plenty of holiday joy to Trout Lake. I am looking forward to seeing the "reindeer vehicles" myself. Just hoping that the weather cooperates and a good time is had by all. Don't forget your camera and flash. For further information contact Eileen at 773-4455 or 509-250-1711.

And in the spirit of the holidays please help those folks in Trout Lake who are in need of assistance by donating food or money to the gift baskets provided by the Mount Adams Baptist Church with the help of the community. Donations can be left at the church inside the main door or given to Ruth Belieu. Her telephone number is 395-2712. Donations will be accepted until 10 a.m. on Dec. 20.
