Chamber hires new employee

To work with member services

The Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce has hired Michael Rabinowitz as part of its member services team.

Prior to joining the Mt. Adams Chamber, Rabinowitz earned his bachelor of arts degree in recreation systems management at San Diego State University beginning his career working for Harbortown Resort in Ventura, Calif. Moving to Oregon, he was employed with the Executive Inn at the Lakes in Beaverton, Ore., as the director of the sales and marketing.

Following the study of real estate appraisal, he worked in Portland and Hood River. In 1996, he opened Appraisal One Northwest, Inc., a real estate appraisal business. He will continue with appraisal business along with his appointment with the chamber.

Rabinowitz will take the lead and oversee the member services operations and supporting tourism efforts, bringing many talents and experiences to the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce.

"We are excited to have Michael on board," said Lorraine Lyons, chamber president. "He has unique skill sets and experience that will greatly benefit our members and support the continued growth of the chamber."
