Two on Gonzaga dean's list

Ashley Harper and Aurora Hindal, both of White Salmon, were among the 784 students named to the Gonzaga University president's list for spring spemester 2010.

Students must earn a 3.7 to 4.0 grade point average to be listed.

VanLaar graduates from Seattle Pacific

Andrea VanLaar graduated from Seattle Pacific University.

Founded in 1891, Seattle Pacific University is a premier Christian university that equips people to engage the culture and change the world.

VanLaar of Trout Lake graduated with a bachelor of arts in clothing and textiles, fashion merchandising emphasis.

Its comprehensive academic program serves 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

Three graduate from EWU

Three county residents earned degrees from Eastern Washington University at the end of the 2009-10 year.

In total, EWU awarded 2,642 degrees this Spring. Graduation ceremonies were held Friday, June 11, with Gov. Christine Gregoire the keynote speaker.

Local students earning degrees were Ben Lingo, Klickitat, bachelor of arts in business, management information systems; Danielle Gilderhus, bachelor of arts in business, management; and Jill Hogberg, bachelor of arts, government.
