Lions to sell Christmas trees at Dickey Farms

Starting day after Thanksgiving

The White Salmon Lions Club will begin sales of Christmas Trees on the Friday, following Thanksgiving, Nov. 26.

The Lions will sell Christmas Trees Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through Dec. 20. The Friday schedule is from 3 to 6 p.m., the Saturday schedule from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the Sunday schedule is from noon to 6 p.m. The staff at Dickey Farms will also be happy to assist individuals during the store's business hours.

Again this year, the Columbia High School music students will be selling coupons with a value of $25, as a fund raiser, that can only be applied toward the purchase of a Lions Christmas tree at Dickey Farms Store. For more information please call Chandra Rampersad, the Columbia High School music director, at 493-1970 .

Also, watch for performances by the school music students at the Dickey Farms Christmas tree sales site this year.

The White Salmon Lions Club will also partner with the P.U.D. of Klickitat County, the City of Bingen, and the local Boy Scouts to chip and recycle Christmas trees after the holidays.

This service is provided free, but a $5 donation is suggested. Watch the White Salmon Enterprise for more exact times and dates for this recycling effort.

All funds earned through this project are utilized to benefit our community by such Lion's programs as eyeglasses and eye exams and scholarships for graduating high school students.
