Plan to attend the Glenwood Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. at the school. Get a head start on your Christmas shopping, as there will be handmade gifts, baked goods, local direct sales consultants, delicious food and more...all in one location. Raffle prizes will be drawn throughout the day.
Cinnamon rolls, Italian cream sodas, sweet treats and chili in a bread bowl will be available in the kitchen. So be sure to spend the day shopping, eating and visiting with neighbors. Sunday, Sept. 26, is the 10th Annual Fun/Prize Ride at the Glenwood Rodeo Grounds. Rules are: $5 per hand; first horse out by 10 a.m.; last horse out by noon. The ride should take two to three hours. Meanwhile back at the rodeo grounds get a burger or dog hot off the grill, along with beans, cake and beverage for $6. Many prizes will be awarded to participants! Hope to see you there! The Pioneer Memorial Community Church's Women Retreat will be held at Menucha Conference Center in Corbett, Ore. The event begins at 5 p.m., Oct. 22, and concludes at 4 p.m. Oct. 23. The conference invites you to experience the joy of friends, so invite a friend to attend as well. Registration including meals is $50, and is due Oct. 3. The TLG volleyball team travelled to Arlington, Ore., for its first competition of the year. TLG came out the winner out of three games. They will continue their season with Kings Way on Sept. 14 at TLG, and at Three Rivers on Sept. 17. They will take on South Wasco on Sept. 21 at TLG. Best wishes for a successful season TLG!
Our sincere condolences to the Whitmire family on Ron's recent passing. As evidenced at his memorial service last Saturday, Ron will be missed by so many people. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
