New name for local medical group

Same doctors, same service

Mid Columbia Family Health Center with offices in White Salmon and Stevenson has changed its name to NorthShore Medical Group.

The new name was chosen to highlight the commitment of the group to communities in Klickitat and Skamania counties. The providers, ownership, and staff will all stay the same.

"We feel honored to care for so many families and are expanding our services," said Dr. Troy Witherrite. "We're excited to have a new name to reflect that."

The White Salmon office now has extended hours including Saturdays hours and weeknights until 7 p.m. The White Salmon office has also added same day walk-ins service weekdays from 3-7 p.m.

For more than 35 years, folks have been depending on the NorthShore Medical Group team of independent providers for the finest primary care.

"People get us confused with Mid-Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles," said Dr. Greg Zuck. "When Mid Columbia Family Health Center was originally named in 1974, the hospital in The Dalles was called 'The Dalles General Hospital'."

Over the years the group has grown to 18 primary care providers with more than 40,000 annual visits from patients throughout the Columbia Gorge. NorthShore Medical Group provided $1,423,511 in community benefits last year, including $187,153 in free medical care.
