June is approaching and with its arrival we will see the seniors graduate on June 10. This is always an upbeat event worth attending. Beside the pleasure obtained from seeing hard work rewarded, it is always fun to look at the slide shows of the pictures of the life of each senior.
Also in June, the Mount Adams Country Bicycle Tour takes place on the June 25. This event includes rides as short as the family ride at 11.5 miles and as long as Infinity Ride at 105 miles for the truly dedicated riders. Registration is less expensive before June 1. To register go to www.troutlakewashington.com. For more information contact Rick Allen at 395-0024. Maybe this year the snow will have melted from the forest loop .
The Grange Board has scheduled a meeting on May 26 at 7 p.m. in the Grange hall. All members are invited to attend this meeting. One item on the agenda will be the search for a new secretary since the current secretary is still unable to perform the duties of the position due to her unfortunate medical condition. Please call Jeanie Wellman at 395-2737 to have other items included in the agenda. The grange is still searching for new members. If you are interested in joining the grange contact Jeanie at the above number. The board is hoping to raise the money to insulate the building to reduce heating costs. Every new membership and/or donation is welcome.
The Saturday Market also opens in June on June 25. Looking forward to the wonderful lunches, tasty baked goods, handmade quilts and who knows what else. There are still spots for vendors, so if you have items to sell contact Patti Grey at 493-8959 to obtain a vendor's packet.
