The Mount Adams Ministerial Association (MAMA) will hold its annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Monday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. at Bethel Congregational United Church of Christ.
It will be preceded by an open potluck supper at 5:30 p.m. at Bethel Church. Everyone is welcome.
The service is organized by the Baha'i Spiritual Assembly of Klickitat County; Bethel Congregational United Church of Christ; the Mount Adams Zen Buddhist Temple; the Pacific Hermitage; Trout Lake Presbyterian Church; St. Joseph's Catholic Church; St. Mark's Episcopal Church; White Salmon United Methodist Church; and the Unitarian Universalist Association.
Readings and prayers and blessings will be offered by all represented faith communities. Music will be offered by pianist Tim Mayer, and musicians from St. Joseph's Church, the White Salmon United Methodist Church, Bethel United Church of Christ and the Baha'I Spiritual Assembly.
This year's reflection is offered by Rev. Dorothy Franklin of the Trout Lake Presbyterian Church. There will also be a "Thanksgiving For Seeds" offered by Rev. Kirk Thomas; Archdruid of Ar nDraiocht Fein (ADF) and Abbot of the Order of the White Mountain at Trout Lake Abbey.
An offering will be taken to support the Mt. Adams Ministerial Emergency Relief Fund. The Emergency Fund assists people with emergency needs in Kickitat and Skamania Counties. MAMA also makes referrals to social service agencies in the area.
