Bingen-White Salmon Police officers responded to 141 calls during the month of October, according to an activities report presented to the White Salmon City Council on Nov. 16.

Two-thirds of the calls -- 94 -- came from White Salmon. Officers responded to 20 public assistance-related calls and 10 calls for agency assistance.

Bingen generated 47 calls. The top reasons, with five calls each, were animal complaints, suspicious person/vehicle, and traffic complaints.

Following is a breakdown, by city, of other police activities in October.

White Salmon:

Disorderly conduct, 7; suspicious person/vehicle, 7; alarms, 7; traffic complaints, 6; animal complaints, 5; suspicious circumstances, 4; domestic violence, 3; accidents, criminal traffic, drugs, property (lost/found), violation of court order, warrant arrest, welfare check, 911 call (hang-up), 2 each; abandoned/disabled vehicle, fire, fraud, harassment, juvenile, medical emergency, theft, threat, drug investigation, 1 each.


parking violation, 4; vandalism, 3; agency assist, alarm, criminal traffic, disorderly conduct, fire, medical emergency, theft, drug investigation, 2 each; accident, burglary, dispute, property (lost/found), welfare check, 1 each.
