At approximately 2 p.m. on Oct. 22, 2011, a one-car rollover accident occurred at the intersection of Tunnel and Bristol roads in the Snowden area. Deputy Jason Ritoch happened onto the accident scene minutes later and advised dispatch.
Ritoch determined the vehicle contained 11 people: two adults and nine children. All of the children were transported by ambulance to hospitals in White Salmon and Hood River for medical treatment. One child, age 5, had to be airlifted by Lifeflight to a Vancouver hospital for care; KCSO reported Monday the child is in stable condition.
Sheriff's deputies and the State Patrol are investigating the accident.
On Oct. 18, 2011, at approximately 10 a.m., Sheriff's dispatch received a report of an assault that occurred in the Goldendale area's Ponderosa Park near the intersection of Golden Pine and Hemlock roads.
According to the report, the Ponderosa Park Homeowner Association had hired Ryan Tuor to clear a 50-foot fire break along the roads in the development. After an altercation with one resident, Tuor reported being struck by a vehicle, which then left the scene.
Sheriff's deputies are investigating the incident.
