B-Ws Police Stayed Busy In July

According to activity report

The Bingen-White Salmon Police Department responded to 220 calls for officer assistance in July, according to the activity report for that month -- an average of 7.1 per day.

All told, B-WS officers handled 143 cases in White Salmon and 77 in Bingen during July, the most recent month for which statistics are available.

Agency assists in White Salmon -- 15 -- topped the call list in White Salmon. In second place were theft and vandalism at 10 calls each.

In Bingen the No. 1 complaint in July was about parking (9), followed by fireworks (7) and report of a suspicious person/vehicle (5).
