Family welcomes new cowboy

Glenwood News for Feb. 9

By the

I would like to tell you about a new little cowboy. His name is Levi Shaun Roggenkamp and he was born to Shaun Roggenkamp and Amy Burgin on Jan. 23. At birth, he was 7 pounds 15 ounces and 21 inches long. He joined his big brother Shane at home. Levi's grandparents are Oop and Diane Burgin of Glenwood and Terry and Bonnie Roggenkamp of Battle Ground. Congratulations to Shaun and Amy on the arrival of their little cowboy, Levi!

It is not too late to make your reservations for the Class of 2012 Crab Feed and Silent Auction on Monday, Feb. 13. Class Advisor Toni Troh asked that reservations be made by Thursday, Feb. 9, so they will know how much crab to purchase. A crab dinner is $20 or chef salad is $10. Both meals include bread, beverage and dessert. Donated items for the silent auction are still being accepted. Dinner will be served and bids on auction items will be accepted from 4:30 until 8 p.m. on Feb. 13. For questions, please contact Toni at 364-3438 or a senior class member.

Andrea Anderson will be presenting a series entitled Nutrition 101: Primal Roots. The first month's class will be on Wednesday, Feb. 15, in the school library from 6 to 7 p.m. Mrs. Anderson will teach participants about eating for a healthy lifestyle. The community is invited to attend the series of classes.

Do you have a recipe that you are famous for; and wouldn't mind sharing? The cooking club from Glenwood School is preparing a community cook book -- and would love to include your recipe or recipes. If you have recipes to share, please contact Jensi Smith at 364-3438. The cooking club anticipates having the cookbooks available for sale during the next school year.
