Local photographer named as contest finalist

At art gallery in Hood River

Local Husum/White Salmon native Darlisa Black (aka Starlisa Black), along with 39 other photographers in the Gorge area, has been chosen as a finalist in the Columbia Art Gallery's new photo contest known as "Chasing the Light."

Three of her images are under consideration for the final cut that will happen at the August show of all the finalist images at the Columbia Art gallery in Hood River.

A few of the other finalists include Darryl Lloyd of Hood River, Gary Randall of Brightwood and Darrell Wyatt of North Bonneville.

Currently there is a showing of Black's work at Ten Speed North Coffee in White Salmon, and the show will move to the Inn of the White Salmon on July 20. She can often be found in summer at the Trout Lake Saturday market.
