Recylcing Police Say No To Glass

Glenwood News for July 19

Okay, the recycle police are after us again. The recycle bin in Glenwood is only for metal, paper and plastics. NO GLASS, no furniture, no lawnmowers or appliances. Apparently the "no glass" rule has been disregarded on numerous occasions. When glass and other non-acceptable items are dumped in the recycle bin, the entire load is considered contaminated -- and cannot be utilized. The recycle bin is a nice community service that is in jeopardy of being cancelled if glass continues to be dumped in the bin Please be courteous so those who enjoy the opportunity to use the recycle bin in Glenwood may continue to do so. I'm getting down off of my soapbox now. Thank you!
