The "Garden of Weedin" (community plot) has such a huge production that it has actually opened it up to other High Prairians to pick out vegetables on Wednesday or Thursday during this week, with a donation for the cost of seeds, fertilizer, etc. Thank you to all those who have put in so many hours, as well as the fertile land, to bring forth such a great crop of beautiful healthy food, and now willing to share it with others!
High Prairians are urged to come to the Community Center, 801 Struck Road, this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon to give a fresh look to this building and grounds. Some of the tasks will be "weed eating," window washing, painting a snow coat on the newly installed storage container, plus general improvement of the outside property. A free lunch will be served at noon for the loyal participants.
The High Prairie Community Council will meet this Thursday at 7 p.m. We look forward to the exciting possibility of having Kristina Weibel of North West Farm Credit Services with us, who will be presenting HPCC with an awarded grant for the community center and fire department facility.
