Residents and visitors can now access free Gorge Networks Wi-Fi service beginning Monday, March 19.
Free Wi-Fi is available at Rhinegarten Park in White Salmon.
"The launch is part of Gorge Networks initiative to provide free Wi-Fi in all the communities it serves. We understand how important it is to give back to the communities we serve. It's where we live and we want to do our part to support the organizations and events that make the Gorge such a great place to be. For all of us at Gorge Networks, giving back is a tangible way we can help serve our community better," said Dan Bubb, president of Gorge Networks.
"I really appreciate Gorge Net helping our community by bringing free Wi-Fi to our public areas," said David Poucher, mayor of White Salmon.
White Salmon residents can now access free Gorge Net Wi-Fi at many other Gorge park locations including: the Event Site, Waterfront Park and Jackson Park, all in Hood River.
Gorge Networks was founded in 1994 as one of the first companies to provide Internet service to the Gorge. Since then, they have established themselves as the local phone and high speed internet service provider for businesses and residents of the Mid-Columbia region.
