One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident on State Route 97 at milepost 5, seven miles south of Goldendale. The accident occurred on March 24, 2012, at approximately 4:18 p.m.
According to the report, Tejbir Singh, 37, Tracy, Calif., was driving his 2005 Freightliner truck with trailer southbound on SR 97, approaching a 40 mph cautionary curve sign. Singh crossed over the southbound fogline. The truck and trailer overturned and the truck struck a rock enbankment. The load of apples and beans was ejected from the trailer. Both the truck and trailer came to rest on the passenger side.
Singh suffered a laceration to his forehead and was transported from the scene by aid.
He was charged with negligent driving.
One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident on SR 14 at milepost 22, seven miles east of Washougal. The accident occurred on March 23, 2012, at approximately 10:30 a.m.
According to the report, William Farewell, 71, Eugene, Ore., was driving his 2002 Freightliner truck and trailer westbound on SR 14, rounding a curve to the left. The vehicle rolled over, causing a 2009 Toyota Prius owned by Charles M. Palahniuk, 49, Washougal, to swerve into a parked vehicle in a private driveway. The semi came to rest blocking the westbound lane.
Farewell was not injured. Palahniuk suffered a sore neck but was not transported.
Farewell was charged with speeding too fast for conditions.
