Billy and Alta Valdez are the proud grandparents of three contestants at the Indian National Finals Rodeo being held in Las Vegas this week. Siblings Cheyenne and Jordan Dove, from Centerville, and their cousin Courtney Frazier, from Touchet, will travel to Nevada to compete at the South Point Casino Event Center. The INFR action is slated to begin on Nov. 6 and culminate with the final seventh go-round on Nov. 10. Three performances of junior/senior finals will be held from Thursday through Saturday as well. Cheyenne is entered in breakaway roping in the junior finals; while her grandpa, Billy Valdez, narrowly missed qualifying in team roping for the senior finals! Jordan qualified in tie-down calf roping; and Courtney qualified in barrel racing and ladies breakaway. Best wishes to each of the Valdez' grandchildren at the 2012 INFR! Stay tuned next week for results.
