Lions start Christmas tree sales

At Dickey Store

The White Salmon Lions Club will begin selling Noble Fir, Christmas trees on Nov. 23, the Friday following Thanksgiving at Dickie Farm's Store in Bingen.

Local Lions thank everyone who has supported their tree sales in past seasons, and encourage those that haven't yet had an opportunity, to try a White Salmon Lions Christmas tree this year.

Proceeds from the sales of Lions trees help support a number of worthwhile community investments, which last year included five $1000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors at Columbia, Trout Lake, and Glenwood high schools.

Funds from tree sales also went to support an annual Easter egg hunt, a Smoke Alarm program to obtain and install smoke alarms for seniors or others needing assistance, financial help to people needing eye exams and eye glasses, and a contribution to United Way and to Little Angels Service Dogs.
