The Klickitat County Planning Department has issued a preliminary environmental determination for Insitu, Inc.'s new building in the Bingen Point Business Park.
Planning Director Curt Dreyer, as the county's responsible official for enforcing State Environmental Policy Act requirements, said in his Preliminary Mitigated Determination of Non-significance (PMDNS) that construction of a 102,000-square-foot building, a 10,000-square-foot covered storage area and a carpark with 182 stalls across some 4.7 acres on Lots 23 and 24 of the Bingen Point Binding Site Plan "would not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment" if conducted in conformance with applicable county codes and ordinances.
The property to be developed is owned by Klickitat County Port District No. 1. Mildren Design Group is identified in county documents as the project proponent.
Comments on the PMDNS -- which sets forth 21 mitigation measures the site developer has to meet -- must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, to the Planning Department, 228 W. Main St., MS: CH-17, Goldendale, Wash., 98620.
