Waucoma Bookstore hosts author reception, signing

On Sept. 7

Waucoma Bookstore is hosting author Laurie Frankel for an author reception on Friday, Sept. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hood River bookstore.

Frankel will be discussing and signing her new book Goodbye for Now.

Fresh, intelligent, moving, and clever, Frankel explores the nature of love and loss in Goodbye for Now, a charming and humanely bittersweet love story for the 21st century.

Frankel lives in Seattle with her husband, her three-year-old son, her border collie, and many, many books. The film rights for her new novel, Goodbye for Now, have been optioned and translation rights have sold in 25 countries.

Her first novel, The Atlas of Love, was shortlisted for the 2011 Pacific Northwest Booksellers Awards.

Frankel was just named one of 10 women to watch in 2012. She is a proud core member of the Seattle7Writers.
