In celebration of women's health, and Skyline's new digital mammogram machine, Skyline is offering mammograms for $150 on Oct. 12 and 13 during its annual health fair.
That's $100 less than the regular cost of mammo (and is intended for women without health insurance).
A limited number of appointments are available, so call to reserve a health fair mammo.
In addition, all women who schedule appointments for Oct. 12 and 13 or who make an appointment at Body & Soul for a future date, will be given a free gift and a gift certificate for a complimentary manicure or pedicure. The event (7 a.m. to noon at Skyline) is sponsored in part by Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Digital mammography is the standard of breast imaging and its addition to the services at Skyline Hospital further proves the hospital's commitment to providing Gorge residents with the best local health care—and equipment possible.
Last spring, Skyline was awarded an M.J. Murdock grant of $160,000 toward a new Hologic digital mammogram machine. It was installed this summer and is now in full use.
Women over 40 who have never had a mammogram before or who have not had a check-up in the past few years are encouraged to call Skyline for an appointment.
Early detection is the best prevention for breast cancer.
