It feels like we skipped spring and that summer is here this week, and although I could go for some rain so as to curtail my hose dragging from plant to plant, I am loving the warmth. If you aren’t busy with home and garden projects then consider the following:
Trout Lake Care Senior Dinner will be on Thursday, May 9. The doors open for socializing and music by Lincoln Crockett at 4 p.m. Dinner of baked fish and rice pilaf will be served at 5 p.m. As usual the event will be in the Trout Lake School multipurpose room.
Mother Daughter Tea at Jonah Ministries, May 11, 3 to 5 p.m. If you made your reservations, please make sure it is on your calendar.
High School league track meet is at Glenwood on Friday, May 10.
The Annual Endurance Ride is May 17 to 19. Check in is May 17, the ride is May 18 with a ride and tie activity on May 19. The event location will the meadow beside the Mount Adams horse camp. There will be 25, 50 and 100 mile rides. The rides will use the trails that exist around the horse camp. The local contact person is Betty at 395-2441. Check out the website at pner.net. The popularity of this event will make the horse camp difficult to access for those not participating, plan accordingly.
Otherwise, enjoy the weather and cross some of those honey-dos off your list.
