Photographer shows nature’s beauty in library show

The White Salmon Valley Community Library’s October gallery show will feature images of nature by area photographer, Lois L. Bancroft.

The public is invited for a special viewing and to meet the photographer at the artist’s reception on Friday, Oct. 25. from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the library’s Sprint/Baker Gallery.

Exploring the beauty of nature both in the garden and on the trail through her photography, Bancroft has become increasingly aware of, and stands in awe of the natural grandeur all around us.

Bancroft began pursuing her interest in photography three years ago when her husband gave her the gift of a camera. Since then she has learned photographic techniques on her own, from professional photographers, and through various classes she has taken.

She said that “I will be forever learning how to snap that Best Picture Ever”.

The exhibit will be on display and available for viewing through the month of October during regular library hours. For more information call the library, 493-1132.
