High Prairie News: Enjoy homemade pumpkin pie at council meeting

The monthly meeting of the High Prairie Community Council will be Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Community Center. Following the meeting, participants will be treated to homemade pumpkin pies!

The following evening, Oct. 24, High Prairie will celebrate “Breast Cancer Month” by hosting a relaxed and enjoyable blood drive between 5 and 7 p.m. In addition to participating in the blood drive, one can purchase an enchilada dinner for $7 and a brownie/ice cream for another $2. So in two hours, one can help save a life by giving blood, and then contribute dollars for Breast Cancer research by purchasing a meal.

Calling all crafters: A Holiday Bazaar will market local crafts on Nov. 23 at the High Prairie Community Center. A donation of $15 to $20 will secure a table and space for any local or independent sellers (knitters, bakers, soap makers, etc) to market their wares for holiday shopping. For reservations or information, contact Kelly at or call 425-319-1072.

On Sunday, a group of the “High Prairie Garden of Weedin” toured the Goldendale Community Garden, with the Underwood garden group.
