Trout Lake News Falling Temps Bring Fall Notes

September brings the beginning of autumn. Temperatures are falling, the colors are changing, and kids have been back in school for almost a month. Here is what is happening at Trout Lake School.

Position opening: Trout Lake School is looking to hire a new food manager for the lunch program it is starting in January. he school has been without an official lunch program for many years now, but it offers a full kitchen and a hungry group of students and staff. The position is Monday throughFriday, 20 hours per week to prepare lunch for staff and students. The school is looking for someone with a food prep or catering background who understands menu planning and serving large numbers. High School Sports: Girls soccer in White Salmon this week. Game starts at 5 pm this Thursday. Girls volleyball and boys soccer both away this weekend. Next home games are next week. Girls volleyball plays in Trout Lake Tuesday, Oct. 1, with middle school starting at 4:30, and high school at 6 p.m. Boys soccer plays in Trout Lake Saturday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. Come out and support our teams.

Bookmobile: Don’t forget that the Bookmobile is now at the school parking lot from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. every other Wednesday (including Sept. 25) before it heads to the Grange.
