Photo: Olympian Vic Wild throws first pitch for new WS Little League opener

The White Salmon City Council declared Saturday, April 12 as Vic Wild Day in honor of Wild’s gold-medal-winning performances in the men’s Parallel Giant Slalom and Parallel Slalom, as well as his wife, Alena Zavarzina’s, bronze in the women’s Parallel Giant Slalom.

Wild posed for a picture with a White Salmon softball team last Saturday morning after throwing out the first pitch for the new Mt. Adams Little League’s opening ceremonies at the Jewett Sports Complex. Wild also stuck around to sign autographs for youngsters and adults alike.
