At least 50 well-wishers were on hand to witness the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Tetrahedron Winery tasting room in beautiful downtown Lyle.
With 30 years experience between them, Kelly Johnson and Darren Michaels were very pleased with the 250 to 300 supporters and customers that followed. The tasting room was as overflowing as the great wines that were served to the enthusiastic crowd. The wines are a small lot production with source products and three labels.
The tasting room’s decorations are artfully tasteful casting off a quiet peaceful setting. There are potted orchids and tulips from well-wishers as well as a permanent shuffle board along the west wall for the competitive visitor, along with iron chairs, sporting the Tetrahedron name that Kelly’s father Keith designed and built.
Kelly stated that a wine/beer/cider analysis room is also planned and nearly completed. As it is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, Kelly and Darren invite everyone to stop by, give the wines a taste and let them know your favorite.
