Geraldine Eloise Brad-shaw passed away from age related causes on Sept. 18, 2013, at the Hood River Care Center. She was 89.
Geraldine was born in Peggs, Okla., on Nov. 29, 1923, to Arthur Taylor and Nancy Downing Taylor. She married Samuel Bradshaw on July 19, 1939 at Sapulpa, Okla. Their first daughter, Linda Sue, was born in 1940 in Tahlequah, Okla. They next moved to the San Joaquin Valley where their daughter Rosamund Gail was born in Visalia, Calif. They ended up in White Salmon after a few more moves in Washington where their third daughter, Sami Kae, was born in Hood River, Ore.
Geraldine was a faithful member of the White Salmon Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses being a part of the founding of the congregation and helping in the building of several Kingdom Halls. This was a great joy to her and Sam as they placed great value on community service.
After her faith the most important thing in her life was her family. She and Sam had three daughters, five granddaughters and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She took great pleasure in seeing and visiting with them. She will be sorely missed by both her congregation and her family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Cecil and her granddaughter Phyllis Cecil; also her be-loved husband Sam after 70 years of marriage. Her internment will be at Idle-wild Cemetery in Hood River, Ore., with them.
Her memorial service will be held Oct. 12, 2013, at 2 p.m., in the White Salmon Kingdom Hall at 1312 Rig-gleman Lane. The service will be led by Doug Avon.
Arrangements by the Neptune Society in Port-land, Ore.
