Ann Jeannette “Jean” Brashers passed away peacefully at her home in Dallesport on Aug. 6, 2014, at the age of 78. She was born in Portland, Ore., on Aug. 4, 1936, to Mable and Herman Peter Collin.
Jean moved many times growing up in Oregon before graduating from North Bend High School. Jean married Delbert Brashers on Feb. 1, 1958, in High Prairie.
She enjoyed needle point, embroidery, Geo caching, and helping Del pick up rocks.
Jean was Past President and a long-time member of the Emblem Club, the Good Sam Club, the Red Hat Society and Toastmasters.
Mrs. Brashers worked as a bookkeeper for Les Schwab’s, Mauser’s and at Lumberman’s for over 20 years until her retirement. Jean and her husband Del spent many years traveling in their RV. Jean loved her dogs and made blankets for Home At Last animal shelter. Keeping up with family and friends was important to her.
Jean is survived by her daughter Janet Brashers of Bend, Ore.; sister Joyce Daniels of Grants Pass, Ore., and brother David Pulley of Rio Dell, Calif. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary.
