Marian Whitefield, 84, former Glenwood resident, died Aug. 28, 2018, in Richland. She was born March 7, 1934, in Fall Creek, Ore., to Joseph and Minnie Porter.
She married William Whitefield on Feb. 10, 1951, in White Salmon.
At her request, there will be no services. However, at a later date, her ashes will be scattered near Glenwood, where she raised her family.
Marian and Bill owned Bill’s Shell in Glenwood for 24 years. She ran the station with all five kids underfoot while Bill worked for St. Regis.
When time allowed Marian enjoyed reading and needlework.
Marian is predeceased by her husband William Whitefield, both parents, sister Devona Pikron, and brother Larry Porter.
Her survivors include children Robert (Shelley) Whitefield in Trout Lake, Sandra (Richard) in Kennewick, Joni (Tim) in Phoenix, Ariz., Brian (Cindy) in Glenwood. and Kelly (Brad) in Kennewick. Also, she left 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
