The City of White Salmon will celebrate its own 2014 Winter Olympian and double-gold-medalist, Vic Wild, and his wife and bronze medalist, Alena Zavarzina, on Saturday, April 12. Wild will throw out the first pitch at the Mt. Adams Little League game at 10 am and a gathering will be held to honor the pair at Everybody's Brewing at 5 pm.

The White Salmon City Council approved a proclamation by Mayor David Poucher declaring April 12, 2014 as Vic Wild Day in honor of the White Salmon native who won two snowboarding gold medals at February’s Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.
