Columbia High pitcher/-shortstop William Gross received another post-season honor by being selected for the second year in a row to the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association’s 2018 1A All-State Team. He was one of eight Trico League players named to the team. The 2018 CHS graduate has signed a letter of intent to play baseball for Grays Harbor College, in Aberdeen. Gross led the Bruins with an 8-1 mark and 1.93 ERA in 2018. He also batted a team-best .400 with 23 runs batted in and 36 runs scored. In May, Gross was selected to play in an All-State Base-ball Series feeder game. He currently is pitching and playing for White Salmon’s 17-and-under summer baseball team, the Columbia Gorge River Bandits.
