The Port of Hood River is now hiring an Office Specialist II - Front Desk.
This position is responsible for a wide variety of office administration, project support and clerical tasks. This position manages all aspects of customer service regarding bridge users, waterfront recreation activities; including account inquiries, adjustments, payment, and customer correspondence. The position also performs data archiving duties, toll collector scheduling, bank deposit processing, and Breezeby Auto-Replenishment review and verification, as well as other functions involving processing payments from tenants, airport and marina customers. Administration support provided by this position includes assistance with maintenance of the Port files, office supplies, transponder inventory, credit card processing and customer alerts. This position is a frontline position that is the first point of contact with the public and requires flexibility in adjusting workload.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Four years of administrative experience or two-year degree with four years of administrative experience preferred. Prior customer service, document management, cash handling, scheduling, and written/oral communications for public entity are preferred. Must be bondable. Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record. Pass pre-employment background assessment. Excellent telephone and “people” skills, as this position is often the first point of contact for the public interacting with the Port of Hood River. Bi-lingual Spanish/English is preferred.
WAGE RANGE: $18.76-$25.14 per hour. Position will remain open until filled.
