Local scouts

Five local scouts headed to the World Scout Jamboree on Saturday, July 20. The WSJ, held every four years, is in the U.S. for the first time in 50 years and will be held in West Virginia. Approximately 45,000 scouts from around the world are estimated to attend the 12-day event. Local scouts attending will be Matthew Collett, Beren Anderson, and Tyr Anderson, of White Salmon, and Ryan Lavery, of Hood River. Also attending as assistant scout master of the troop representing Oregon, Washington, and California will be Dave Anderson, of White Salmon.
