Peaceful Living School of Yoga launches its first ever Yoga and Nature day camps for kids and teens in July and August, through Yoga Samadhi in White Salmon.
“Our camps are designed to inspire a love of nature and encourage mindfulness at a young age,” says Crystal Borup, founder and director of Peaceful Living School of Yoga and co-director of Yoga Samadhi. “Each day will be fun and playful but we will also offer tools for relaxation with activities that will teach children what it means to be present, what to do with big emotions, how to have healthy relationships and more!”
A typical day will include nature walks, hikes, mindfulness activities, yoga, meditation, and breath and relaxation practices.
Camps for children ages 4+ will be held Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on July 9, 23 and 30; Aug. 6, 13, and 20. The cost is $55 per day. Reservations and advance payment are required.
Camps for children ages 7+ will be held Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on July 11, 18, and 25; Aug. 1, 8, and 15. Tweens are welcome to join.
Camps for teens ages 13+ will be held on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on July 26 and Aug. 16.
Scholarships for economically challenged families may be available.
Borup, a yoga teacher who is also First Aid and CPR certified, will be leading the camps.
Yoga Samadhi, home of Peaceful Living School of Yoga, is located at 177 W. Jewett Boulevard.
