Richard James Hunsaker was born in White Salmon on April 30, 1942, to Eneth (Miller) and Daniel Hunsaker. Dick grew up in White Salmon, graduating from Columbia High School in 1960.

He enlisted in the United States Army and served in Texas where he met Martha Bagby. The couple married on June 5, 1964 in Lampasas, Texas, and later moved back to White Salmon.

Mr. Hunsaker worked for the family fuel business, Hunsaker Oil, until his retirement and was also a member of the Masons. He enjoyed tinkering around his property and spending time with his family.

Dick passed away at his home in White Salmon on Oct. 7, 2019, at the age of 77.

He is survived by his wife Martha of White Salmon; daughters Joy Hunsaker of White Salmon, Crystal Simensen of Vancouver, and Sara Salazar of White Salmon; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Clarissa in 1973 and his son Matthew in 1997; brother Frank Hunsaker, sister Ann Hunsaker, and his parents.
