Bellevue LifeSpring announced it received a generous donation from The Bellevue Collection equating to 56,650 meals. The gift is a result of The Bellevue Collection's Dining District, a long-time Bellevue LifeSpring supporter, executing its "Do Good with Delivery" program to feed families struggling with food insecurity during COVID-19 and to support its restaurants' take-out programs.

A fire broke out on Mott Rd around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 15, caused by a lawnmower. The fire was contained around 10:30 p.m. Total acreage burned is approximately 86 acres. No structures were lost.

State fire assistance was mobilized under the Washington State Fire Services Resource Mobilization Plan in support of local firefighters working to contain the Mile Marker 119 Fire, located in Klickitat County, west of the Town of Roosevelt.

Klickitat County received 36 applications late last year for the vacant position of veteran services officer. The county’s choice, William Smith, of Trout Lake, has been on the job since Dec. 5, 2016.
